Elec Ski is revolutionising ski touring with electronic skis. Discover innovations that make your uphill journey easier and skinning more accessible.
V4.6 focused on improving traction by doubling the track width and refining the Chevron Belt design. The angled tracks helped reduce unwanted sideways movement and produced a cleaner forward drive. Testing also showed that the more aggressive Mega Belt delivered strong grip, but pushed the current suspension system beyond its limits.
V4.5 focused on improving traction through the development and testing of three new belt designs. Each design was tested on both flat and inclined snow, with the Chevron Belt providing the strongest forward propulsion in the SnowDome environment. This testing also highlighted the next key challenge: increasing traction further while reducing the outward movement of the skis.
V4 testing validated a complete internal redesign, delivering a 45 percent reduction in system weight and significantly higher assisted speeds. Testing in alpine conditions in Bulgaria confirmed major improvements in performance, usability, and system maturity, bringing Elec Ski closer to a practical electric ski touring solution.

V3 testing marked a major step forward for Elec Ski, with significant improvements in traction, reliability, and usability compared to earlier versions. Testing at The Snow Centre confirmed that the modular track system, belt drive, and wireless pole mounted controls all performed well in real world conditions. The remaining challenges are now clearly defined!

Elec Ski debuted at Skinnovation 2025, showcasing their electronic ski touring prototype (SM1) designed to make uphill movement easier. Focused on innovative ski touring gear and electric assist systems.

Elec Ski tested the very first V1 prototype in Tignes, France, in the dead of night. Using only a head torch and a phone, the team recorded the first real world test of the electric ski assist concept.
